ProJet MJP 2500W
PRINT REALWAX® PATTERNS PRECISELY, SWIFTLY
Projet MJP2500W by 3DSystems is the result of almost two decades of research, refining and redefining Multijet 3D printing. A fast, reliable, affordable and extremely precise 3D printer. It’s impressive features and capabilities are the reason why Projet MJP2500W is changing the jewelry manufacturing industry.

The new ProJet® MJP 2500W is an affordable 100% RealWax™ pattern 3D printer that adjusts to your workflow, delivering from several short run batches a day to next day typical larger builds at high productivity. These highly accurate, fine wax patterns are directly printed, without tooling time, costs and geometric limitations, for reliable and repeatable direct metal casting efficiency.
With this revolutionary wax printer, you may now print 16mm layers on almost 4x the build surface of competing machinery nearly 25x faster!
In utilizing multi-lane print optimization, the patented sweeping print head technology saves time while producing true-to-CAD patterns intended for precision investment casting.
MJP 2500 W Pro Jet machines are newly re-engineered for affordability, minimizing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). The new technology adapts jobs to the print envelope allowing smaller production to complete in less than a couple of hours. Larger scale prints will be expedited by the sweeping motion of the print head; imagine printing pixel by pixel with one or two jets at one time, or printing with 880 jets at one time, and decide for yourself which is more efficient! There is a common term used to describe rudimentary 3D printing technology: “A hot-glue gun on a conveyor belt”

RELIABLE REAL WAX CASTING
Pure wax Visijet M2Cast is 100% wax, which will melt at similar temperatures as hand-carved or injected wax. Virtually zero ash content and silky surfaces mitigate any chances of porosity while the lilac-purple color enhances visualization of details for design evaluation/qualification.
Wax printing in general compared to resin-printing has long been considered the superior option, but why? The answer is quite simple: Castability. Resins don’t cast as waxes do. Period. No matter the amount of “waxy material” present on the resin mix, the end result will always be a plastic. It is called polymerization from photopolymers. The most crucial difference in models from wax printing to resin printing is ash content in castings.
The Projet MJP2500W uses RealWax Visijet materials. It is the perfect fit for standard manufacturing configurations.
Resin printing most common problems are the need to adjust burnout cycles, ash content porosity which leads to extra labor necessary for finishing jewelry products. Investment breakage may also occur from casting photopolymer resins. Thermal expansion may ruin entire casting flasks, which are obviously expensive, especially so in dealing with gold, platinum, and higher temperature metals.
It’s important to print RealWax in order to yield high-quality castings consistently.

SPEED AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
Like on 3-lane highways, speeds will increase when the projected path is a straight line, and you will definitely avoid jams or delays when there’s extra space to diffuse traffic. The all new MJP2500 print head with 880 individual micro-jets runs along the X-axis once, twice, or three times per layer depending on the magnitude of your print job. The aluminum build platform will then recess per layer thickness so as to allow for the next series of drop-mass depositions.
Sacrificial/Dissolving support material allows for 360 degrees of freedom of design; creative liberty that leads to reduced part-count and efficient repeatability.
The Projet MJP2500W uses state-of-the-art, engineered materials for building and supporting parts. Compared to resin printers, such as SLA or DLP technologies, where 3D printed models are supported with the same material as the part itself, and then must be manually cut away by the user. Instead, the MultiJet platform automatically produces a wax support structure underneath your model, which is then easily washed away in a heated, stirred bath. Dissolving support material technology significantly increases the quality of your printed parts by means of eliminating post-processing time and reducing the amount of labor required to finish the model. Simply clean the support material away from your printed parts and the next step is to sprue them on your casting tree.

HIGH-RESOLUTION PATTERNS
With this machine, you afford the ability to produce hundreds of rings per day, or smaller batches every hour. The material properties of the M2Cast purple wax allows for clean burnout and maximizes the surface quality of your trees. Consistency with such a robust machine will lead your workflow and productivity to new levels of efficiency!
The MJP2500W is ideal for those constantly injecting wax into rubber molds. You can print entire trees of rings at once with the 2500W, so it makes less sense to labor and toil with rubber molding and wax injection. In lieu of hundreds of rubber molded sandwiches taking up space on a shelf, you can now digitize your entire production and save time, space, and money. Take your casting production into the 21st century with a lead forward into the latest and greatest wax 3D printing technology.
